Line Edit

You’ve completed considerable revisions and critiques, and your story has strong structure, direction, and depth. The next leg of your manuscript’s journey is a line edit.

Line editing is a journey to interweave the desired current of rhythm and flow with effective diction and syntax of your creative content. As your editor, I’ll assist in streamlining your writing, ensuring harmonious sound and structure in the language and voice of your individual authorial style while keeping your character voices unique and alive. Readers will get lost in your story world listening to the music of your well written prose.

Custom PDF style sheet documenting the important points of your manuscript styles, story world and character details, timelines, author preferences, and continuity.

x2 one-hour consultations: one directly after the final deliverables are received, dedicated to guiding you through the edited manuscript and supporting documents to clarify next steps in the revision process.  You’ll have the opportunity for a second consultation, to be redeemed during the service, or within 60 days after the project’s end, to review and discuss questions, ideas, or any other support pertaining to the line edit. Consultations will be recorded upon request.

This service takes roughly 5-6 weeks to complete. If you decide upon an editing package (see below for details) you will have two weeks to review and complete the suggested revisions and clarify any questions before we move on to the next editing service. I dedicate this amount of time to make sure the line edit service is providing abundant value to my author clients.
