About
Hi, I’m Kristine Braley, the owner and founder of Finalize Editorial and your stalwart guide on the journey to publication. My career goals have always been driven by my desire to contribute to other people’s artistic visions, assisting them along the path to completion. I am a facilitator of ideas and dreams.
Your book belongs to you. Your voice and style are imperative in keeping your work authentic. When I am your editor, your goals for your book and career become my guiding mission. As your collaborating partner, I’ll support you to thrive as you seek out your manuscript’s highest potential. We’ll ride the currents of craft to hone your writing style and smooth any sharp edges, bringing your unique voice, plot, and characters to life.
As your editor, I have a full view from the dock that you won’t be able to clearly see from the captain’s chair where you are toiling to mesmerize your readers to fall deeply into your story world, unwilling to depart until the final page.
Taking a supportive, skilled, honest, and enthusiastic companion along for the ride on the river to publication allows you to sustain the focus needed to elevate your art, amplifying your writing career.
I look forward to working with you and providing impeccable services to you and your artwork, customizing my services to accommodate your unique needs and desires.
How It Works
I work as a sole proprietor on all of your manuscripts, but when the project’s package contains multiple editing services, I hire contract editors to perform the proofread. This provides your project with completely fresh eyes for the final draft before publication.
I am your journey guide for developmental edits, manuscript evaluations, line and copy edits, and proofreads. I will always be your point of contact no matter who is performing the services you’ve contracted for your manuscript through my editorial services company. In this way, you always have one point of contact for ease and clear communication. I review all contracted editing work before presenting it to my clients to maintain the high standards I require for services performed through Finalize Editorial.

Three Things I Care Deeply About
COMMUNICATION AND
RELATIONSHIP
I posit that communication feeds into a solid and supportive relationship. When we work together, I want to know what is working for you, but more importantly what can be improved upon so you feel as supported and understood as possible while we hone your writing projects and prepare you and your book for publication.
ENDURING EDUCATION AND
READERS’ NEEDS
Whether it’s on social issues or personal issues, enduring education helps us seek our highest potentials. Through these activities, we become not only better people, but better authors and editors, which in the end brings the highest value we can bring to our most important collaborating partners, the readers. By working together as a team, we bring to life new stories in which readers can lose themselves, find themselves, and learn to help others do the same.
COLLABORATION AND CALMLY
MOVING FORWARD
There are always bumps along the way, rocks just under the surface of the river, but through collaboration and calm decision making, together we can move forward and become better human beings along the way. You as an author, me as an editor, us as a team working toward your publication.
